So far, I'm learning other ways to animate (i like doing frame by frame for some odd reason). I tried doing some of the "typical flash methods" but that was taking up a lot of my time trying to figure out. Maybe I'll create another animation during the summer and figure out everything. So far I've experienced using some raster images in this mini cartoon. This will be my first time using raster in parts (only in the intro). I'm usually always on the internet looking for inspiration (or watching television or listening to music). But as far as looking for tips, I looked for some guides on anatomy so that I could illustrate my characters better. I really love how the Ronkey has turned out (in illustrator) lol.

1. DYRDEE

Unfortunately I am unable to hear anything on the current computer I'm on, but I am able to see the videos. I watched 2 videos from this team. The one about the bear and their on-air animation reel. I really like the fact that they get global recognition for their work because it's really well deserved. I see that they've done work for Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, and MTV. Seeing these 2 animations showed me that people really can accomplish a whole lot using Flash.

2. TOKYOPLATSTIC

Waaaa... I've been to one of their sites before. I think it was the myplasticheart site where they sale collectible items. (I saw it as an ad on facebook one day and clicked on it out of curiousity). What I liked most about some of their aniamtion work was the fact that they let their imagination run free... especially with the Car commercials. The cars acted somewhat like people (like throwing banana peels onto the ground to make the other slip, throwing watermelons, etc...) The other one I saw was the one for Zune. I'm not exactly sure what was going on (because I can't hear anyhting), but I saw a creature that had a body, 2 feet and a mouth. And a second figure with too many eyes, a base, 2 hands, and 2 feet. I found it slightly creepy, but funny nontheless. Watching them really inspires me to try to break away from limiting my imagination.

And the funny thing is, I checked my link just to make sure it pasted it correctly when I sent it to her and it worked at that moment. And a little while ago, I went to the student web pages to see if my link would direct me here, and it didn't TT^TT. So I'll let her know in class tomorrow afternoon.

I've came across this near the beginning of last semester when I was looking for inspiration. As soon as I made it through 10 seconds, I feel in love with it. What I really find the most interesting about this is the color scheme and the usage of the outlines for the characters. It was done in Flash as well.

Well, this isn't exactly an animation... it's actually an interactive website. I couldn't find any "raster animations" that I really liked. But this site does use raster images very well!! Even the way the page loads is interesting. I hope my website can come out to be as interesting as this one. It's very inspiring. If I come across any animations I like that use raster, I will come back and edit this post ^_^
